Finally updated to iOS7. I love all of the new features. The only thing I absolutely hate about it is, the wallpaper configuration SUCKS. The way they crop your image and the way it doesn't let you zoom out to get it exactly how you want. It reallyyyyyy annoys me. :|

As some who likes to look at history very closely, I believe the world is prepped for another major global conflict if the right diplomatic steps aren't taken. The Iranian's believe Syria is their buffer as well as an ally. The United States intervening in Syria would almost be like of Russia putting nukes in Cuba. It is a complete act of agressioin to their national interest. Anything that weakens their interest is veiwed favorably by Israel. Israel is on the sidelines cheerleading with pom pom's hoping this all blows up in Iran's face. Problem is, Iran will be coming for them after the attack, if there is one. The U.S. is already using this as an opportunity to beef up a case against Iran by leaking intel out to the press about how Iran have plans to attack U.S. embassies and other interest. If that were to happen McCain and Obama will be calling for war bombs over Tehran. All this and we haven't begun talking about Russia and China who are Allies to both Iran and Syria and what their possible actions. 

I am also perplexed by Obama's choice to take this to congress. On the surface it seems like the noble thing to do - let the people's representative's decide. However, there is a good chance congress is going to say no. How could he cause all of this hype and bang on the war drums only to make himself look like a fool internationally? I can't even imagine that. He will look terrible. However, that would still be better than taking us to war.

Miley Cyrus comes off very try hard and so contrived. We all understand this is a business and part of marketing is amping up certain parts of your personality. So atleast make me somewhat believe this new image is somewhat genuine even though it's not. Urban culture isn't just twerking or hood music but hey she's the one that looks a fool.

Read. Repeat. Forget

When I study something, I like to study it because I want to learn, appreciate and actually UNDERSTAND it. I was always eager get out off high school. Why? Because I was forced to memorize some REALLY useless things I didn't give a single care about. Most of the I time just managed to read what was assigned in a book and then vomited it out during the examination and most cases forgot what I "learned." 

I think most school marks are highly subjective, and in many cases inaccurate, because they do not properly measure someone's intelligence. Just another way for society to rank people.

Ever wonder when to stop forgiving? When do you stop quickly “getting over” what angers or hurts you because most of the time, the offender doesn’t offend? How do you fairly define and create the list of "Bad Things” that will over-ride all of the previous good?

Race and The Vampire Diaries

I’ve been watching a show call The Vampire Diaries all week on Netflix and the race politics hit me in the face. Pretty much all the vampires in this show are white, while almost all the African Americans are witches/warlocks. 

I think the problem does not lie in that there aren't many minority characters on the show (and there have been a select few) but all the black people are witches. It creates a distinction, and it's not necessarily against black people in my mind (unless you count witches as bad) but reinforces racism in general.

I'm just going to quote this part from the World English Dictionary:

Racism is "the belief that races have distinctive cultural characteristics determined by hereditary factors and that this endows some races with an intrinsic superiority over others"

Independently of the part about superiority, since I think that witches can have the upper hand but can also be subjected to following orders on their vampire friends.
